Website Managers Report 2019/2020

Report for the Executive Committee

  1. The website continues to be an opportunity to keep historic information accessible and available (e.g. past activities, reports.) especially now that the Society has been active for a number of years (since 2013) and information continues to increase.
  2. All data continues to be accessible by all as we are using the basic ‘Weebly Connect Site’ package, at $4 a month, $48 for the year and as previously stated we would have greater control over published material if an upgraded plan was used, but this would incur a much higher financial cost.
The present package seems to be adequate for the Societies needs and as the cost implication has the least impact on funds this seems to be the best option to continue with.

For your information the different packages remain the same price as last year:
The ‘Starter’ package would include a number of items; including the opportunity to have no Weebly branding and access to advanced site stats, the cost being $8 a month, $96 for the year.
The ‘Pro’ package would include password protection to chosen areas, but again this cost is much higher at $12 a month, $144 for the year.

   3.  The website continues to be up-dated when new information is forwarded. As previous years, suitable pictures /information from Committee and Members is always            appreciated. Thank you to everyone who has forwarded items in the past year.
   4.  The layout of the website will be renewed around 20th April, after the AGM and will include:
2019-2020 Calendar to be relocated to the Historical Archive area and 2020-2021 Calendar to be created on the Home page

  •  Creation of a new Work Completed 2020-2021 page
  •  Addition of new 2020-2021 Officers, Trustees and Committee to Members page
  •  Creation of new Minutes area for 2020-2021
